The 12/18/17 effective date to have an electronic log option (AOBRD or ELD) on your truck has come and gone and the world has not yet come to an end.  Most of the trucking industry has been able to install them on time without a glitch.  Whether you are still waiting to the end of the 90-day soft enforcement period or already have them operational, this webinar will review: the motor carrier’s and driver’s responsibilities for using them properly, probable roadside inspections issues, the basic operational requirements, back-office auditing and editing, and data opportunities.  The exceptions to the ELD may have some advantages to some—we’ll discuss the conditions necessary to utilize them.  Technically only the DOT’s authorized ELD provider list has acceptable devices.  You may want to ensure that the device on your truck is recognized.  As with any new DOT mandate, we can expect that enforcement nationwide will be targeting ELD compliance after 4/1/18 if not before.  This interactive webinar is designed to reduce any bumps you might hit along the road to full compliance.
